Hey band,
This is your homework from now till the end of sch holidays.. Please work on Memories, the whole song, and please focus on the way you tongue, dynamics, articulations, phrasing, and the most important is that i want the whole section to have the same interpretation. Also, please note that your auditions will be on the day when band resumes.
To all SLs/ ASLs/ section rep (if both sl and asl are overseas) please hand in a report to me on the progress of your section members. All SLs the FORMAT of handing in your report is writing EACH AND EVERY member's progress, strength and weakness and what is your section strength and weakness and when band resumes, what are you going to do for sectionals and how are you going to improve those weak points.
If any of the report dosen't tally and is not up to standard, i will make all the SLs read the report out loud in front of the band and put the report on the band bulletin board.

Band, Auditions are also coming, so if you want to play in syf, please work hard.. I know that everyone wants to maintain the SIBF standard, but if we are going to continue to play and not know when to be serious, i doubt we can even achieve a Bronze. Is this what you guys want?? I'm sure you all want something better right?? So, show me that you all work hard and you all need to follow your goals, and if the conductor or your seniors tell you that something is wrong, accept it humbly and change it. It's for your own good. (: When band resumes, i hope the standard improved and not deteriorate. Its like climbing Mount Everest. Work hard and i am sure that you guys can get what you all really want.
And for the Sec 1s, you all are no longer the baby of the band, you all are going to be seniors. Please work 100000000Xs harder and show us that you all can do it. (: This is going to be a tough time for everyone, and i hope that everyone is still hanging on. It may be stressful, but when its over, you will look back at these tough moments. Work Hard (:
For the Sec 2s, you all are going to be the seniors of the seniors of the band. You all are going to hold main posts and do lead the band well. This is also going to be your 1st syf. Don't feel scared or stress, as you still have your seniors to lead you. But do remember that this is only going to be for the time being, after that, you are all alone, and it is your duty to lead the band and show them the correct path to walk. Work Hard (:
As for the Sec 3s, this will be your final syf. Do work hard and you all should already know how it feels like, since we went through the 1st one together. After this, you guys will stand down for your O levels and N levels. Its going to be the same as the 1st syf and SIBF. You guys should know it more than anyone else. Please do work hard and lead your juniors for the last time. After that, you will not have any more opportunities to lead them. Lead them well and in one blink you will realize how you missed it.
