Dear sec one, sec two,sec three and sec four band members,
I hope you had fun during the past few weeks of the holidays and that you all also made use of the holidays to brush up on your skills:)
After this period of rest and fun, I hope you will make good use of the remaining days of the holidays to practice!!!
Okay, now i shall tell you what to do:
-At least 5 minutes of buzzing/blowing on your mouthpieces everyday.
Reason:
So that you all wont forget your embouchures and drop your standards.
-Long tones on mouthpieces(for those who do not have your instruments) or on your instruments if you have them
Reason:
To make sure when you come back your notes do not sound horrible
-Score study+practice Sesame Street and March Together
Reason:
So that you all would be able to come for band aware of what you are doing.
Since we did not have any holiday band practices, I expect you all to really practice at home and don't let your standards drop. We are a Gold band, but only your hardwork will ensure that it will remain that way, so
don't be complacent!! To all the band members, especially for sec ones, remember to practice your major scales and try and perfect your flaws as I will be testing you when band resumes!
* For those SLs, whose juniors do not have Internet connection, please pass on the information to them.
